Built by Listening: How One User Sparked a Key JobTread Tool

A Florida remodeler directly influenced a new JobTread feature that streamlines customer and vendor payments.
When Alanna Ammons submitted an idea for a new feature on JobTread she didn’t expect it to get much traction from other users. “I knew the company’s customer service was amazing, but I was still surprised that my suggestion got so much attention,” she says.
Ammons’ idea for automated payment and bill schedules received more than 700 votes from JobTread customers and became the most popular request on the platform. And now, the asked-for feature is a reality.
Seeing A Need
As CEO of Anchored Renovations in Navarre, Fla., Ammons completes over 50 projects per year, and closed out 2024 with $2 million in revenue.
That’s why she requested a new feature for streamlining payment schedules. What she didn’t know was that the idea would actually become part of a larger JobTread update.
“With this addition, we accomplished a lot more than one feature request,” says Senior Product Manager, Anna Hunter. “We were able to close out five additional feature requests with a single launch. And we built it in a way that’s versatile enough to meet many different needs.”

The payment and bill schedules feature simplifies workflows by allowing users to automatically generate and send invoices on customer and vendor documents. It is especially helpful for fixed price jobs, change orders, and milestone based billing.
“There is going to be so much good in it,” Ammons says. “I love that I can show the payment schedule on the document. Our clients ask for that all the time.”
Built to Support Builders
Many of Anchored’s projects are small, and handling that volume of business requires software that is flexible and responsive. That flexibility paid off when Anchored landed a $500,000 job last year, and Ammons largely credits JobTread.
“Everything that we're able to do in the background, has made things a lot easier and more streamlined for the client. I really feel like that was a huge part of why we got the project.”
For growing companies like Anchored, a software is only valuable if it evolves with the business. That’s why JobTread actively collects user feedback and turns it into real product updates.
“We absolutely love JobTread, and have been so excited to see all the improvements.”
