JobTread Opens a Migration Path for Builders Facing the CoConstruct Phase-Out

Dallas, TX | June 2026
JobTread, the leading construction project management software for contractors, today announced a migration path for CoConstruct users who are being forced off the platform. Buildertrend, which acquired CoConstruct in 2021, is retiring the product and requiring all users to switch to its platform. JobTread's migration path includes hands-on help moving existing data along with onboarding and training from the JobTread team.
CoConstruct's migration materials confirm that future projects will run through Buildertrend, while customers keep access to their historical CoConstruct project data.
As part of that move, CoConstruct customers shift to Buildertrend's pricing. Buildertrend does not publish transparent pricing and sets its rates in tiers that scale with a company's revenue, so the cost grows as the business does. Independent 2026 reviews put its plans from the mid-$300s to more than $1,000 per month, and JobTread's comparison of the two platforms shows the largest plans climbing past $50,000 per year.
“Contractors who built their business on CoConstruct are being told to start over on a platform and a price they did not pick,“ said Eric Fortenberry, Founder and CEO of JobTread. “We think they deserve a real choice. Our goal is to make it simple for those business leaders to bring their work into JobTread and keep running their business with clarity and control.”
What CoConstruct Customers Get With JobTread
- A platform built for the way contractors work. Estimating, material takeoffs, scheduling, selections, communication, and reporting in one connected system.
- Easy to integrate with the tools you already use. Popular integrations like QuickBooks and Home Depot come standard, with no setup required. And because JobTread is built on an open platform, you can connect thousands of other apps through Zapier or create your own integrations far more easily than on more closed systems like Buildertrend.
- AI that works inside your business, not just alongside it. The JobTread AI Connector links tools like Claude and ChatGPT directly to your business. With a simple request, you can build estimates, update schedules, and gain powerful insights into how projects are performing. All actions are run on your permission, stay logged, and are yours to review before anything is final.
- Hands-on help making the switch. The JobTread team assists with moving your existing data into JobTread and guides your team through onboarding and training, backed by a comprehensive help desk and an active user community. You are not rebuilding everything by hand or figuring it out alone.
- Transparent pricing JobTread's pricing is public and flat: $199 per month plus $20 per internal user, the same for every customer. You know the price before you sign, and it does not climb as your business grows.
A Timely Choice for the Construction Industry
The CoConstruct transition is part of a wider shift as contractors reassess the tools they rely on to run their business. For many, a forced migration is the moment they decide to evaluate other options rather than move by default.
“When CoConstruct was bought by a competitor and we learned the system would no longer be updated, we knew we had to switch,“ says Zach Snider, owner of Alloy Architecture & Construction in Charlottesville, Virginia. “We moved to JobTread in 2021, and we have doubled our revenue in the four years since.”
