Staff Accountant

JobTread is on the lookout for a Staff Accountant to join our growing team. Working closely with the CFO, you’ll play a key role in supporting a wide range of our finance and accounting needs. Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of accounting, including transaction processing, financial statements, and a broad range of other accounting and financial activities
• Hands-on, day-to-day responsibility for maintaining accounting records in QuickBooks Online
• Month-end close including reconciliations and adjusting journal entries
• Payroll processing
• Assuring efficiency, proper internal controls, and compliance with GAAP
• Identify opportunities for process improvements

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• Knowledgeable of GAAP; software revenue accounting (SAAS) a plus
• Solid working knowledge of QuickBooks online and excel
• A “roll-up-the-sleeves” attitude willing to do what it takes in a fast growing small company
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Self-starting, problem solving, working independently with minimal supervision, and a good team player
